My name is Judith A. Habert and I am the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of San Diego Woman Magazine.  I have been a writer and photographer my entire life and have been writing professionally for over 30 years.

I love to write and thoroughly enjoy teaching and speaking to like minded individuals.  My love of writing has drawn me to teach writing classes and seminars for others with similar passion. 

My latest project is working on a combination cookbook and biography with the Busalacchi family in San Diego.  A former New Yorker, and hardcore Italian I can honestly say that a visit to one of their famed Italian restaurants takes me back to Manhattan's Little Italy or maybe the famed Italian bistros that I was lucky enough to visit in Rome, Forence and Capri.  

The past few months have given me the pleasure to meet and talk to so many San Diego Women, as a result of our magazine and numerous speaking engagements for my book, Hey, I'm Italian, I have met some of the most amazing men and women in San Diego.  

Along with teaching I have enjoyed taking on mentorship for several beginning writers.  With 30 years of professional writing experience I have learned some important shortcuts on the road to publication and I just love sharing them.
